Development Risk Lawyer

The role:

Our client is looking to recruit a 1-3 PQE lawyer in their Planning department to join their growing Development Risk practice.  The team is led by one of the partners provides he advises on a broad range of development risk issues which face the firm’s developer client base.

The team works in close collaboration with the firm’s planning and real estate practices and advises clients on the following core areas:

• Rights of Light with a particular emphasis on the tactics for managing risk, negotiating release deeds and the suitability of insurance cover
• Neighbourly matters arrangements in including access, oversail and scaffolding rights
• Planning disputes and the judicial review of planning decisions
• Planning enforcement including breach of condition notices, planning contravention notices and other enforcement action by local planning authorities.

The role is fast moving, involves a significant degree of client contact and requires an appetite for problem solving across a broad range of development issues.
