Real Estate Solicitor
The role
We are seeking to recruit an experienced and motivated Real Estate Solicitor (circa 3 to 5 years PQE) to join our highly regarded team. Based in their Exeter office, you will report directly to the Partners and play an integral part in a wide range of work, with a focus on development work particularly in the energy and waste sector. You will be working within a team undertaking a range of property matters, including complex and high value, energy from waste schemes, often with colleagues from other disciplines , such as Projects Planning and Construction. Whilst we will provide training on any specialist areas which are new to you, we expect you to have gained abroad experience of commercial real estate transactions, and be enthusiastic to expand your skills and knowledge, within a supportive and experienced team. We pride ourselves on our ability to develop our people, and as such, you will be responsible for dealing with complex high quality, high value work and will be afforded high levels of responsibility from the outset.
About You
An excellent communicator with proven technical and organisational skills, you’ll be accustomed to working under pressure to meet challenging deadlines, and already have a firm grounding in commercial real estate practice. With an eye for detail, you’ll be meticulous and thorough in your work, with experience in acting for clients on development, investment and property financing matters.
The relationship with their clients is paramount. You will be able to demonstrate your ability to build strong and lasting relationships with clients, and show a genuine commitment to their business needs. Being self-motivated and ambitious, you will be keen to learn about the energy from waste and renewables sector, if you don’t already have experience in this, and possess the drive to help us continue to grow and develop our business. In the dynamic renewables market, clients will be looking to you to be up to date regarding the latest policy developments affecting the sector, and as such, you’ll need to demonstrate a genuine interest and enthusiasm for this topic, and its wider implications for our clients. In return, we will support you to grow your professional networks, and maximise business development opportunities through access to relevant events and conferences, enhancing your knowledge and credibility across the sector.
