Our client’s PI practice handles an impressive breadth of claims, including industrial disease cases, cycling accidents and equine matters. They have notable expertise in chronic pain and fatal accidents as well as catastrophic injuries, with a focus on brain and spinal injuries.

They are seeking a Solicitor or Legal Executive to work alongside their Partner to undertake a varied case load of multi-track claimant Personal injury work. The team also deal with a large number or clients within the horse racing industry so this role would suit someone with an interest in the racing and bloodstock industry.

Duties will include:

• Assisting the Partner and independently managing a caseload of claimant Personal Injury files, under supervision, dealing effectively with mid – high value multi track cases and transactions. Claims will be varied including orthopaedic, chronic pain and catastrophic injury
• Manage time recording, WIP monitoring and billing consistently, meeting targets and objectives set
• Deal directly with client to take instructions and ensures full understanding in order to deliver on client expectations
• Research and draft article and assists with the production of marketing materials
• Begin to develop a network of clients, contacts and potential referrers and attends networking events
• Encourage juniors/ trainees and give feedback to assist their learning, effectively delegating tasks where appropriate
• Understand, learn and apply all business processes applicable to own work learning new processes as required
